Science Safety

 
In the Lab:

Always wear proper protective equipment and clothing (aprons, goggles,
    gloves, etc.) as instructed by your teacher.

Hair, clothes, jewelry and other things that can contact lab equipment and
     experiments should be removed or secured.

Shoes should cover your feet completely.

Make sure you know where to find the safety equipment and how to use it.

Know what to do in case of an emergency and the locations of the exits.

Do not eat or drink anything in the laboratory.

Ask questions about anything you don't understand.

   
 
Procedures:

Never work without an adult present and be observant of everything that's
     happening in the lab.

Always follow the teachers directions

Immediately tell the teacher when something goes wrong.

Always wash off anything that gets on your skin and clothes with soap and
     water.

Keep you work area clean by properly disposing all of the materials.

Work only in the areas assigned by your teacher.

Always wash your hands before leaving the laboratory.
